Mission and Ministry

  • Confirmation Service on 6 February with Bishop John attending.  Currently one candidate seeking to be confirmed.

  • Green Group – Plans for the Snowdrop Festival 19/20 February going well.

  • Cake & Co. is on hold at present due to Covid considerations.  Plan is to review opening again in mid-February.

  • Presence - First meeting of the new worship gathering was held Sunday evening (16 Jan) at St. Andrew’s Hall, with people attending in person, via Zoom and streaming to the Church Facebook group.  Plan is to hold the meetings fortnightly.  PCC were encouraged to keep praying for this group.

  • Living in Love and Faith ‘conversation’: every CofE parish has been asked to consider how questions about gender, identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage fit within the bigger picture of the good news of Jesus Christ. Beginning on 26 January, there will be a series of five Wednesday evenings at St. Andrew’s to listen, learn, talk and pray together using some excellent videos.

  • Parish Weekend 8-10 July –Dave Casswell has had agreed to lead our Weekend this year.

Table Talk

At each meeting, the PCC work in smaller groups to discuss and consider some topics in more detail.  This month we addressed questions relating to the Community Engagement Section of the Eco Church Questionnaire.  It is anticipated that this will enable the church to move forward to bronze Eco church status in 2022.  The responses collected will now be considered by the Green Group.
